If other
Stouffer's Corner Bistro Flatbreads are anything like the
Steak Fajita Flatbread, they are onto something good. The Chef tried one out from
this 99c only Store the other day and came away impressed, although I made a mistake of following the box directions to microwave instead of oven baking. As a result the bread part came out spongy; time permiting, bake instead.
Otherwise the toppings are a tasty combination of enchilada sauce subing for marinara, strips of steak replacing pepperoni, jalepeno instead of red pepper flakes, topped with cheddar/ mozzarella and surprise, surprise -- the quality and quantity is superb, unlike the anemic Lean Cuisine 4 Cheese Pizza
the Chef dissed last month.
I spotted this last week but was afraid to try it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I found fresh pasta at the Silver Lake location on my last trip and got super excited.* I was thinking how cool it would be if we, 99 Cent Store enthusiasts, had some sort of Twitter-type way of texting each other when they found something exciting at a store. Or is that going a little far?...wait, don't answer that.
*The Boyfriend deemed it better than boxed pasta, but having a bit of a Top Ramen texture to it.
I'm not up to twittering speed yet, but sounds like a fun idea.
